Sizzla Kalonji and Prince Malachi alongside the Xterminator crew blew up the spot flinging hotter fire in every direction at the Hollywood Park Casino on January 14th, 2000. Junior P, another hardcore cultural DJ, Nine Life, and singer Dakeye opened the show in fine style backed by LA's top backing band, Detour Posse. The eagerly anticipated and well attended show was a flash point for crucial Rastafarian vibes.

Bob Marley Day San Diego - Review by Carlos Culture - The spinning stage turned to England for a man on mission, Martin “Rootsman” Campbell, he was backed by Detour Posse, LA’s best reggae band. Martin has a signature sound from the channel one era. He had a great set and the crowd loved him. After Martin Campbell’s set Dakeye, the lead singer for Detour Posse, had the spotlight and rocked one tune.

Dakeye of Detour Posse has been in the CanJa Sounds studio working on new material for his debut solo album, tentatively titled Love Is Life - Life Is Love. The album is slated for an early October release....

UA JOURNAL - The obvious audience for Junior P's album will be those that prefer the Anthony B/Sizzla/Capleton style of DJing. While Jah Works has tracks that will appeal to modern dancehall audience, Junior P really shines when he sticks with the spiritual, roots-heavy sound. "Keep On Loving Jah" starts the album out in this way, teaming Junior up with Trinidadian vocalist Dakeye. The pair also work together on "Love You So Much," a Beres Hammond-esque modern lovers tune.
